I remember Truman (tiny) from back in the 60's. I need a job so he asked me if I climbed trees.. yes. I met him at his house in Leeds. He wanted to see me climb. He showed me a tree in his yard and said " show me" I did and gave me the job. He was a great guy to work for.

Truman's upbeat attitude and cheerful greetings will live forever in our memories as he drove around town and visited us at the Leyden Café with Tucker. We will miss him. Amy StClair

I am sorry for your loss and ours. Trueman was our favorite visitor at the Leyden Cafe. When we switched to mugs he was given the Number 1 bright red mug. A few years ago he and I put together the plastic picnic table...he directed my actions and told J
eff we did not need him to help. He was always there enjoying one of Karyns's Blueberry Scones as we enjoyed him. He will be missed!

Always enjoyed our impromptu visits to the back deck for burgers and dogs with Nancy and David! Always welcoming and cordial while enjoying the beautiful sunset over Leyden Villiage. Will miss the "mountain man of Frizell Hill Road"....Peace to you, Trueman

Always a friendly and welcoming man during our impromptu burgers and dogs visits on his back deck. Loved to scan the Leyden horizon and watch the sunset. Lucky to have a caring daughter (Nancy) and son-in-law (David) to keep a watchful eye on the "mountain man" of Leyden. Peace to you, Trueman

Used to meet Trueman on the road in Leyden, first walking his beloved dogs up Frizzell Hill and East Hill Rd. We would swap greetings. Later when it was harder for him to walk, we'd meet him driving the roads, always stop and talk.
Council on Aging lunches and once drove him to the hospital for radiation treatment.
He was always a joy to encounter.
Blessings all around and sympathy to his family.

Our sympathy to Gail and Nancy and their families. I have fond memories of Mr. Robbins, as a child growing up in Florence with Gail. A life well lived.
