Clio Bovetti Obituary

Clio Bovetti – a creative woman – homemaker, decorator, artist (starting at age 88) and an avid reader in search of the meaning of life. She loved dancing, singing, butterflies, hummingbirds and flowers. And she loved family and friends. Clio had friends from all walks of life. "Grandma Clio" was the happiest when she was surrounded by family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, on holidays when enjoying the great food made by her daughter Gina and son-in-law Earl.

Clio was born in 1914, 96 years ago, to Walter and Mable Saxton in Hornell, NY.

She was preceded in death by her children's father, Reno Bovetti and two sons, Keith Bovetti and Philip Bovetti.

Clio leaves behind her daughter Gina Merritt; son, Kenn Bovetti, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She passed from this experience on November 26, 2010.

Her wish was that when she passed on, that those left behind not be sad, but celebrate her life with laughter, sharing good food and enjoying each others company.

A Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Interment to be private.

Clio was a special and dear lady with whom I was fortunate to meet several years ago at Church of Religious Science. She was so wise and thoughtful. Her magnetic personality charmed us all. I will miss her dearly. My deepest condolences to the Bovetti family.

Grandma Clio - you have always and will always be an inspiration for me. I will always try to live my life the way you did, to the fullest without limitations. I love and miss you and know you are with your sons, my dad and uncle. Until we meet again, I love you!

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Clio well. The 4 years I owned Main st. Coffee Cup/Cookie Cottage she spent every morning with us ( and some afternoons) and she was a VERY important part of our routine, and we all had many hours speaking with her. We gave her a birthday party each year, and she spent time and attention to all of us. I spent many hours at her home talking "life". She was an amazing women, with an amazing outlook. I can not feel sad she is gone, knowing her as I do, and her outlook, but I rather feel blessed for my time with her. Her outlook and wisdom will comfort and inspire me for the rest of my life. Tell "Grams" Hi for me Clio!... Thank you.. Casey Bolling-Rangel
