Eugene Sinclair "Peewee" Obituary

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, at 12 noon at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home chapel for Eugene Sinclair, 58 of Lindsay who passed away November 24. Pastor Art Swift will officiate and interment will follow at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery.

Gene, as he was known, was born May 16, 1953 in Lancaster, CA and was raised and attended school in Lindsay where he loved track and wrestling while in school. Gene married Sonja Marie Hodge December 23, 1983 in Lindsay. He worked as a supervisor at Lindsay Olive Growers but also worked at Ruiz Foods, Rich Peel Garlic, Able Industry, Golden Valley Dairy and Console Foods.

Some of Gene's hobbies included real estate, building and organizations,building things, and mechanics to name a few. He was very involved in the community and was part of the Jr Chamber of Commerce, Jaycee's, International BB Shoot, Optimist Club, F.F.A. Boosters, Orange Blossom Festival and responsible for the mural at the Old Pool Site.

Gene will be remembered for his love of golfing and for the Olive Bowl marque at the baseball field.

Gene was preceded in death by his Parents. He is survived by his wife Sonja Sinclair of Lindsay, three daughters Mashell Phillips of Visalia, Kimberly Sinclair-Vega of Visalia, and Wendy Sinclair Clark of Lindsay. One son Eric Eugene Sinclair of Lindsay. One brother Gary Coffey and wife Teresa of Hanford, Two sisters Jeannie Williams and husband Dean of Arkansas and Lois Hicks and husband Everett of Missouri. Also surviving aunt Treva Ballard of Yucaipa, CA, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday November 30 from 2 until 7 PM at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home in Lindsay. Webb Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.webbsandersfuneralhome.com
