Francisco Sotelo Obituary
Francisco was born to Carlos and Dolores Calderon. He migrated to California at the age of 19 and worked throughout the state of California. He worked as a migrant worker and for Campbell Soup in Pescadero, CA for 6 years. He also worked as a truck driver for Ortiz Bros in Saticoy, CA for 40 years. He settled in Porterville in 1988 from Santa Paula, CA with his wife, Rosa Calderon Leyva, and his children. He resided in Porterville for 33 years. He married Rosa on January 31, 1966 and they had just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. He was a great role model for his family. His family will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Dolores, his sister Emma; brothers Octavio and Antonio Calderon.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Calderon Leyva, son Francisco L. Calderon of Lawrence, Kansas, three daughters; Norma C. Gomez of Porterville, CA, Rocio Calderon of Porterville, CA, and Cristina Calderon of Long Beach, CA, 11 grandchildren; Moises C. Lamas,
Abaham C. Lamas, Elizabeth Gomez, Victoria Calderon, Karina Gomez, Eduardo Gomez, Sarah Calderon, Rebecca Calderon, Enrique Gomez, Francisco A. Calderon, and Augustus Calderon Robinson, 2 great grandchildren; Audrey Rose Lamas and Elijah Manzo, and four brothers and three sisters.
