Guadalupe Rios Obituary
Thursday, March 23 at 6 PM at Webb Sanders Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday, March 24 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Guadalupe Rios, 51 of Lindsay who passed away March 17. The Reverend Kenneth Bozzo will officiate and interment will follow the Mass at Lindsay Cemetery.
Lupe was born April 6, 1965 in Brownsville, Texas to mother Guadalupe Rios and came with his family to Lindsay, CA as a young child. He was raised and attended school here. After the death of his mother at a young age, Lupe was raised by his uncle Juan and Ernestina Rios whom he loved very much. He worked in agriculture all his life right up until he passed away. Lupe enjoyed listening to music, singing, was an avid story teller and enjoyed a good joke; Lupe would never leave your presence without sharing a good laugh. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Lupe was preceded in death by his biological mother Guadalupe Rios and father Juan Rios and and uncle Antonio Rios. He is survived by his mother Ernestina Rios and beloved aunt Felipa Presas of Houston,TX; his sisters San Juana Barrientos of Texas; Mary Garcia of Merced; Josie Ruiz, Gloria Fernandez and Melissa Rios all of Lindsay; Yolanda Rios of Bakersfield; his brothers Joe Rios of Strathmore; Juan Rios Jr. of Kingsburg and Pete Rios of Tulare; his beloved Rios cousins/sisters as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. No visitation/viewing is planned; this will be a closed casket visitation.
Webb Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
