Harold was born August 1, 1943 in Seiling, Oklahoma in a log house to Archie and Lena Haggard and he grew up on a farm in Gotebo, Oklahoma. He attended elementary and high school in Lake Valley, graduating from Gotebo. He received his Bachelors of Science degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Weatherford and then his Masters from California State University at Bakersfield. He married Diana Crabb June 3, 1962 in Hollis, Oklahoma and they both finished college at Southwestern Okalhoma State. They lived in Lamar, Colorado where they both taught school before moving to Strathmore, California.
Harold was in education as a teacher and administrator for some 34 years and taught photography, printing, computers, business classes. His summer job for many years was working for the U.S. Forest Service at the fire supply warehouse and then at the air tanker base. This was probably his dream job working with aircraft. He enjoyed meeting pilots and over the years, made many friends. Harold became a pilot himself, and enjoyed airplanes the rest of his life.
Harold enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in sporting activities and harassing the umpires and ref's. He also enjoyed family get-togethers. He enjoyed building model trains and planes and collecting and working on antique tractors, collecting toy tractors and anything John Deere.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Lena Haggard and by his brother Hershal Haggard.
He is survived by his wife Diana haggard of Visalia; his children Scott Haggard and wife Tonya of Visalia, and Darla Hill of Tulare; his sister Joyce Weatherill and husband Bill of Canon City Co and an aunt Ruth Southall of Tulare; his grandsons Tighe Hill of Panama City Beach, FL., Branden Hill of Tulare, Hunter Haggard and Cory Haggard of Visalia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Harold's memory to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America 355 Lexington Ave., 15th Fl., NY, NY 10017.

He was always thinking and always happy. When asked his favorite kind of pie, he replied, "hot pie and cold pie". What a wonderful man. May God bless you in your loss.
