Helen Davis Obituary

Helen L. Davis

Aug. 14, 1940

July 10, 2025

Helen Lee Davis, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Portales, NM, Helen was one of twelve children of William and Lola Kerr. As a teen, she moved with her family to Las Cruces, where she met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Daniel Davis. Married for over 62 years, Helen and Daniel made their home in California, raising their family in Sonoma County and Porterville.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Helen felt called to intercessory prayer and devoted her life to her family and her spiritual calling. She was also an excellent homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, care, and comfort.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her five children: Kevin (Tammy), Gregory (Gina), Patrick (Crystal), Christianna White (Joshua), and Jonathan (Jordyn), along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen will be remembered for her strength, grace, and unwavering faith.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23 May she rest in eternal peace.

A memorial will be held Friday, August 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Porterville Church of the Nazarene at 2005 W. Olive Avenue.

She always had a warm smile and a great hug. I loved running into your mom amd dad in target, I usually run from people,as they were such a joy to talk to. They always asked about my job, and my parents. They loved talking about thier kids amd doted on their grandkids. Your dad had a silly joke and your mom would act embarrassed, but it was honestly a funny joke. :)
They will be missed here, but its so good to know they are both together and rejoicing with God.
