Jonathan Oebel Obituary
Jonathan Wayne Oebel was born to the parents of Darrell Oebel and Marilyn Rubio in Maricopa, Arizona on May 24, 1965.
Johnny lived in many places but always returned to what he had always known to be home
the Tule River Indian Reservation.
Johnny never married but shared his last 22 years with Susan Gonzales his significant other.
Johnny was a proud father of three children Jonathan, Nicholas, and Joseph. Johnny had 12 grandchildren.
Several of Johnny's favorite past times were drawing, painting, fishing, camping, golfing, gardening, and playing keno at the casino.
At the point of graduating from drug court he was very proud of himself for living a clean and sober life. At this time, he was also working as a FTO security officer at Eagle Mountain Casino, before he left the casino he was promoted to lieutenant officer. Johnny was very proud of himself to make this change in his life.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Steve Peyron Sr. (His pops) and his brothers Fred Peyron, Henry Dean Woods, his son Joseph Oebel.
He is survived by his brother Paul Lucero, Stevie Peyron Jr., Brandon Peyron, Brandon Oebel, Michelle Oebel Garcia, Michael Peyron, Penny Oebel Landry.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm followed by a public evening viewing on the Tule River Indian Reservation at Church On The Hill starting at 5:00 pm and open throughout the night. A blessing will take place Friday, February 21, 2025, at 10:00 am.
Funeral Services will take place Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Johnny will be escorted from the Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center to the Tule River Indian Reservation lower cemetery. Followed by a Celebration of Life at the Tule River Indian Reservation Gym.

So very saddening to hear of Jonathan´s passing. We met Jon years ago when he was a security guard at Eagle Mtn Casino. He was a very kind and friendly guy, later we would see him playing Keno. May he rest in peace. Our condolences to his love ones.
