Jose Piñon Obituary
Gene was born January 26, 1959 in Laredo, Texas to Juan and Celestina Piñon and then came to Lindsay with his family as a young child. He attended all local schools and attended Porterville College and College of the Sequoias.
After serving his country in the United States Army, Gene went into law enforcement, working for nearly 20 years with the Tulare County Sheriff's Department and then going on to work for the California Department of Justice. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his two dogs Bart and Duke, who will miss him terribly. Gene was preceded in death by his father Juan Piñon and by a sister Maria Carmen Piñon and two brothers Hermillo Piñon and Jesse Rodriguez. He is survived by his mother Celestina V. Piñon of Lindsay; his fiance Laura Loftin of Tulare; his sister Maria Socorro Piñon and his brother Genaro Piñon (Tami) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation for Gene will be held on Thursday, April 9 from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Webb Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
