She was a proud tribal member and elder of the Tule River Indian Reservation, where she also served as a member on the Tule River Elders Council for many years. Lucy impacted many lives and won over those who had the opportunity to meet her she was a generously skilled artisan. She enjoyed keeping the lost art and tradition of basket weaving alive, she was very proud of who she was and where she came from. There were no limits that she couldnt achieve. Lucy also took pleasure in passing her teachings of the arts and language to her kids and grandchildren. Ensuring her hard work and dedication would continue forward for generations to come. Lucy also reveled in taking her daily cruises up and down the reservation whether she was playing her music or engaging in good conversation that was uplifting and insightful. Another thing she loved doing in her spare time was spending her days watering and nurturing her flowers and trees. Lucy was a unique and true blessing to us all. We knew her as a leader, strong willed woman and a great mother. She was very knowledgeable and provided a sense of direction when you needed Lucy, she was there. She enjoyed cooking and BBQ. Well, she got to watch some football or her soap operas never missing an episode of her days of our lives. Lucys legacy will always remain, and stories will be shared for generations to come.
