James "Jim" Stanforth 64 of Columbus Ohio passed away on June 1, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born February 26, 1953 in Jamestown Ohio to the late J. Roger and Mary Lou Dudley Stanforth.
Jim was a 1972 graduate of Miami Trace High School. He had worked at the Morrow Funeral Home, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, and was currently working for the Franklin County Coroners office.
Jim is survived by his son Huston (Shereana) Stanforth of Marengo, daughter Lela Stanforth of Delaware; three brothers, Robert Stanforth of Pleasantview, Vernon(Joy) Stanforth of Washington C.H., and John Stanforth of Wilmington, grandchildren Avenlea and Gavin Stanforth, several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Morrow Funeral Home, Jeffersonville with Joy Stanforth officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery, Jeffersonville. Friends and family may call at the funeral home, on Tuesday June 6, 2017 from 4-8PM

Jim was a lifelong friend of the family. We are saddened with his passing. We have not been in touch for a few years, but he will be missed by all of us , Family and friends. We all grew up together and he will always be with us and never forgotten. Roger Hart and the Hart Family.

I am so sadden by this news.i have many fond memories of growing up with Jimmy,Vernon and John Wayne.i didn't get to see him very often anymore but was very happy when I did.....I will miss you my cousin !

James was such a loving caring and giving friend. He always went out of his way for everyone even people he didn't know. He had such a funny since of humor picking with and joking with waitresses at restaurants. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten
