Kay Lynn Dudley of Jeffersonville passed peacefully on September 30, 2021, just a day after her 75th birthday.
Kay was born in Washington Court House, Ohio to the late Harley and Vera Jean (Nichols) Jones. She was a graduate of Washington Senior High School. She had worked nearly 10 years at the Wendy's Restaurant at State Route 41 in Jeffersonville. Miss Kay, as she was known to her customers, was always there with a warm smile and friendly greeting to her regulars and new faces as well. Kay was a collector of salt and pepper shakers and is said to have a collection of 2,500 sets. She was also an Elvis fan.
Along with her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her son, Brian, and brothers, Kevin and Eddie Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Dudley, whom she married on January 17, 1969; her sons, Lee (Michelle) Dudley of North Ridgeville and Shannon (Tammy) Dudley of Frankfort; grandchildren, Tannette Dudley, Brice Dudley, Jennifer (Christopher) Richardson, Kristina (Douglas) Dobbins, Karlee Dudley, Haylee Dudley, Kearsten Dudley, Caidence Dudley, and Brooklyn Dudley; great grandchildren, Vanessa and Alyssa Dudley, Hudson Brown, Alexander Dobbins, Isabella and James Richardson; sister, Connie Arledge; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Dudley. She also leaves behind several extended family members and her many friends.
A service in planned at 6pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home. A time to share memories will take place during the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4pm until the start of the service.
