PHYLLIS JEAN CONAWAY, age 74, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home. Her death was sudden and unexpected.
She was born on April 10, 1947 in Circleville, Ohio to Harold P. and Mildred M. (Nungester) Conrad. She attended Greenfield McClain High School.
Phyllis retired from Showa Aluminum in Mount Sterling. She enjoyed traveling, shopping trips to Meijer, and spending time with her family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Harold Conrad, Jr., and Joyce Hair.
Survivors include her beloved husband, George Edgar Conaway, whom she married on January 15, 1964 in Good Hope, Ohio; son, George Jr. (Stacy) Conaway; granddaughters, Alexis Conaway, and Ashley Conaway; great-grandchildren, Luxie, Kane, Brilynn, Stryker, and Kooper; and sister, Mary Wheaton of Greenfield. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Browns Chapel Cemetery.
