Robert Blake Obituary
A memorial service for Robert E. (Bob) Blake, 87, of Washington Court House, was held Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 12 Noon at the Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joe Fox, co-pastor at the church, officiating. The Rev. Tina Fox, church co-pastor, read the scripture and former church pastor, the Rev. Wayne Clark, offered comments and remembrances. Jane Aleshire was the organist and Courtney Dolphin Seigel was the soloist. During the service, the flag of the Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict was presented to Bob's wife, Ann James Blake, by Mike Curl who was representing the Fayette County Honor Guard. Stephen Zastrow and Larry Bishop sounded Taps. Following the service, the eleven great grandchildren each released a balloon in memory of their great grandfather. Private burial will take place at a later date in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
Bob, a retired Armco employee, died Friday, July 20, 2018, at his residence.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

Jeff and Julie, so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I remember his always encouraging words at the baseball diamond. He was so proud of both of you. You have many fond memories to keep him alive in your hearts. God bless you in your time of grief.

I will always remember playing in Uncle Bob's yard and having family meals in the house and listening to his stories about life. I will always remember his face when he asked me what I thought about the OSU national championship game, I had not watched it. I pray for peace for my Aunt, cousins, and the entire Blake family.
