Alba Klemin Obituary

Alba Josephine Klemin
Stockton - July 11, 1930 – February 3, 2021
Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, Alba J. (Perasso) Klemin, 90, of Stockton passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021 in Burnsville, Minnesota.
On July 11, 1930, Alba was born in Stockton, California to parents Emilio and Rosetta Perasso, and she was the youngest of two children. A native of Stockton, Alba graduated from Stockton High School in 1948. Upon graduation, she went to work for Stockton Unified School District as a Bookkeeper for approximately 10 years. Alba married the love of her life, Robert, on February 5, 1956. Together they raised their children until Robert's death in 1970. Alba returned to work and was employed by Lincoln Unified School District in the Child Nutrition office and retired 25 years later at age 70. She volunteered at Colonial Heights Elementary School in the 1st grade classroom for many years. Alba enjoyed being involved in the community as she served as President of the Colonial Heights PTA, California School Employee Association #282 and the Italian Catholic Federation #9. Alba was strong in faith and took joy in being an active member in many ministries at Church of the Presentation. At age 85, Alba relocated to Minnesota to be near her daughter and her family.
Alba valued her family above all. Nothing delighted her more than spending time with them at the Santa Cruz Coast. She was a consummate hostess and cook striving to make every holiday special. Her baking and candy were legendary, and she was always generous in sharing with others. Alba's boundless energy and caring for others are well known. She was never too busy or tired to help a family member or friend in need. Alba inspired all who were fortunate enough to know her and she made us all better people.
Alba is survived by her children Ron (Joette) Klemin of Midpines, CA; Bruce (Julia) Klemin of Rocklin, CA; and Dianne (Greg) Kerr of Savage, MN. She was a loving grandmother to Trevor Klemin, Parker Klemin, Leanna (Johnny) Grow, Mia Klemin, Marc Klemin, Abby Kerr and Wesley Kerr. She also leaves behind her loving sister of Mayrina Vaccarezza.
Alba was preceded in death by her parents Emilio and Rosetta Perasso, and husband Robert Klemin.
We will never forget your unconditional love and how you touched our lives. Your spirit will remain and guide us forever.
Due to Covid-19, a private ceremony will be held for family only.
Donations in her honor can be made to: Grace Hospice of Minneapolis, MN (www.gracecaring.org) or St. Mary's Dining Hall (www.stmarysdiningroom.org).

What a lovely lady, feisty, hilarious, kind, generous, stubborn, and so very loving. How lucky that I had the genuine pleasure of knowing her mothering ways for 40 years! So many things to miss and enjoy in remembering her. All my love to Alba and her wonderful family.
