It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.

With Loving Memories

John andAnnette, I dont know how to express my feelings as to how much this has affected me and my kids. We all loved Chris so much. I just keep remembering the days when I watched him while you two and Mike and Kathy would go out. Watching him grow up seemed like an eternity, but now realizing how short life can be. We will always have him in our hearts. We love you two, Deanna, Amanda, Danielle

John & Annette:

Words cannot adequately describe how I felt when I learned...Chris has been a part of my life for as long as I remember...from blaming him for squeezing all Annette's bath beads when we lived next door to each other at the duplexes to the family camping trips to his 16th birthday...it seems surreal that I will live the rest of my life with only his memory. Growing up, I knew early on that the Shimer and Ramirez families were special. Your closeness and dedication to one another and your circle of friends is second to none. I know that is what will keep you strong in your darkest days and I am thankful for that. Just know that Chris will always be a special part of my life, my memories, my past. He will NEVER be forgotten. My heart aches with you, as a mother, as a friend, and as someone who loved Chris...

With my deepest sympathy,

Faun

Dear John, Annette & All of your beautiful family:

I can still see Chris sitting in circle time, or doing homework. I can still see the two of you coming to pick him up. Now that I am a mother I often times think back to those days, because raising Chris was an adventure and there are days.......Well, you know. I have always had the utmost respect for all of the Shimmer's and Ramirez's because you are all so close and your love and support for one another is so apparent. My heart is hurting for your horrible grief. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. He has touched my life those many years ago more than you will ever know.
God bless you all- Much love Nick
