David Allen Lewis was an ideal son, a devoted husband, a loving, generous father and a wonderful grandfather, or PeePaw, as he was known by his two granddaughters. His greatest pride in life was taking his small businesses and turning it into a highly successful corporation, as the owner of the Cameo Club Casino in Stockton, California. David a life long drive and determination forged this business to its full capacity as it has become a trademark in Stockton. He was respected and loved by all that knew him. He left a immediate and memorable impression on everyone he met and was always ready to lend a hand at the first sign of need. He was born October 5, 1946 and left this world far too soon on September 9, 2007. He is survived by his mother Jene Lewis; his wife, Maggie; his children, Brooke, Ryan, Pegi and Robert; his granddaughters, Sierra and Aija and many friends and family that will miss him dearly. A funeral service in David's honor will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at DeYoung Shoreline, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton CA 95219. All are welcome and immediately following the service the family would like to invite everyone to the Cameo Club Casino 552 W. Benjamin Holt Dr, Stockton CA to celebrate his life. Family and friends are invited to visitation Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr. Stockton, CA. Committal will be private. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in David Lewis' name.

My family and I have known Dave a very short time but he turned out to be one of the most caring, hospitable, helpful, cordial, kind and compassionate person we've ever known. We grieve with the family at their present loss. Our Condolences.

I will always remember Dave as the best boss an employee can have. He gave people jobs when there were no job openings. He gave his players work when he needed odd jobs done. Dave always made a point of giving back to those that made him such a success, and was never too busy to listen to your problems. I was lucky to have him as my boss and even luckier to call Dave my friend.
