Donald A. Davenport

June 7, 1952 - January 9, 2010

Donald passed away peacefully with his two children by his side. He was a long time resident of Stockton. He attended Stagg High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his mother Jean Davenport; son Anthony Torre and wife Jill and daughter Wendy Davenport; grandchildren: Rebecca Galindo, David Niblock, Anthony Torre, Jeremiah Osuna and Nicolas Torre: brothers: Stanley Moreland, Eugene Davenport, David Davenport and Jake Lesley; sisters: Suzie Davenport, Brenda Castro, Patty Beckham and Cherri Staub. He is preceded in death by his daughter Dawn R. Davenport, dad Robert F. Davenport, sister Carol A. Roth, brothers, Chuck Lesley and Jim Lesley.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 16 at 2:30 p.m., Sutter Street Memorial Chapel, 520 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, CA 95202. 209-464-2214. Private Committal.

Pops.. I game not lived in those parts in 15 years but as a young man he was what I would call a street father figure. He had a HUGE impact on my life and I remember his jokes and voice to this very second. Not very often a stranger comes around that has such an impact on someone else. I respected him on the highest level. I'm sorry for your loss but he was in so much pain before I moved. Your dad was a real one no doubt.

In Loving Memory: Donnie Davenport~R>I>P> my friend. To Family and Friends- my condolences and prayers for you and the loss of your Loved One. Wendy- I don't know if you remember me, but I do you from Surrender To Live! My heart goes out to you; it's devastating to lose anyone, & especially hard a parent. I lost both of mine in 2005-4 mths and 4 days apart! I'm just now at a point where I'm gaining closure. I keep you in my prayers daily. To Donnie: I remember meeting you at Shakers Bar. My daughter Susie was bartending and introduced you as her good friend, Donnie! That was a few yrs ago.- ever since we always acknowledged each other- said hello; how ya doin? and i will never forget that deep, low voice that was only "you"- You are missed ! Susie misses her friend!!- We will all join together at some point-(it's not good-bye)~ it's: JUST TILL WE MEET AGAIN! keep our seats reserved and warm! You are loved and missed!
