Cousin Doug, you were the cool one in the family. You had a standard poodle named "Pierre," and a fast little hound named "Lucky". You put decals on your bike, blew your trombone to make dogs howl, put cigarette loads in your dad's cigars, had way too many firecrackers, and had an affection for fire (tried to burn down Uncle Bob's barn). You had a midget racer in the '50's and a GTO in '67. Your girlfriends were good looking (the ones you let us see anyway), and you were good at sports. You were playfully antiauthoritarian, and naturally funny. I wasn't ready for you to go. I'll see you on the other side, and remember, fires are not popular in heaven.

My daughters and I send our condolences to Alexis and Tiffany, who I had the pleasure of caring for when you girls were young. Your Fathet was always a pleasant person to be around, and I know this will be a hard time for you. Please get in touch with me girls when you can. Same house in Stockton. 473-7133. I loved your family and I send my love to you.

We were sorrow filled to hear of Doug's passing. Our camping trips (Day Ohhh!!!), the rotating group dinners and watching Monday night Football games together were fond memories. The world could use a few more soft-hearted souls like him.
