Mark, Ann, Cindy & Family:

I'm so shocked. I've been out of town on vacation and just got back. I am so sorry for your loss! Gene was such a great guy, loved by many. I work for the Facilities & Planning Dept. at Lodi Unified and Gene was in not too very long ago. I always had a nice conversation with him when he came in about how Mark & Ann and the family was doing. I will keep you all in my prayers. Time will make the pain easier.

To all of the George family, my greatest sympathy goes out to you. It pained my heart to hear of Genes passing. My prayers are with you and especially Diane. Too much pain in your life sweet lady. As others have wrote, Gene was a man to be respected, and as his obit said, a few choice words to get the job done, got my little butt in gear a few times as a child!! Haha! But, he always did have the time to show me the animals and answer all my questions. The whole family was once such an important part in my life, such as I will NEVER forget, and he will be missed

I met Gene through a construction project. Gene was one of the most knowledgeable, fair, honest, hard working people I have ever worked with. He was logical in his approach to any issue that came up. He immediately gained my respect and admiration. Over the last five years I grew very fond of Gene and he will certainly be missed. My deepest sympathies go to his family and loved ones.

Gene was a true friend as well as a father figure to me. He got me through some very difficult times in my life, good and bad. I worked with him for years and loved every minute of it. He made my job very enjoyable and gratifying. He taught me so much and gave me the opportunity to spread my wings and fly. I owe him so much. I loved his beaming smile, no matter what type of day he was having, that smile was always there. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire George family. Never would I have thought I would be typing words of condolences about Gene. May God wrap his loving arms around you and greet you with the same smile that you greeted all your loved ones with. Love you always, Papa Gene.....Take care and fly with the angels with Michael and Steven, they are lucky to have you. I love you. Thanks for always being there.
