Eugene Noboru Kawada

Aug. 31, 1943 - Jul. 2, 2018

Mr. Eugene Noboru Kawada, of Stockton, California, born on

August 31, 1943 in Newell (Tule Lake), California, to the late Shizue Kawada and the late Masao Kawada, passed away at age 74 on July 2, 2018. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Yamakoshi.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Patricia, sons, Kevin (Wendy) and Jason (Tien); brother, Jon (Julia); sister, Nancy Shimasaki; and grandchildren, Aubrey, Keiran, and Alexandra. Eugene graduated from Edison High School in 1961 and San Jose St. College in 1969 with a BS in Accounting. From 1965 to 1971, Eugene served in the Army National Guard. He worked at Kyser Farms for many years as an accountant. Eugene married the love of his life Patricia Hayame in 1971. The two met at a bowling alley in 1967 after Patty was introduced to Gene by her brother, Arthur. They were married for 47 years. Gene was a competitive bowler for many years, often taking the family on trips out of town to compete. He had a passion for cars. Among his favorites were his PT Cruiser and Chevy El Camino. On his down time, he liked to play sudoku and complete puzzles. Gene touched the lives of many as a Football and Track and Field coach at Lincoln High School. He was a great Dad who his sons admire, love and respect very much.

The Family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 28th. Eugene will be inurned at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane in Lodi.
