Fred L. Stringer, 82, native of Stockton, CA, passed away Friday, September 1, 2006. He was a Tracy resident for nine years. An Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, Mr. Stringer retired after 48 years working for Heinz Co. He graduated from Merced High School.
Survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores Stringer of Tracy; children, Steven Stringer of Lake Oswego, OR, Scott (Irene) Stringer of Danville, CA, Skip Webb of Port Angeles, WA and John (Laura) Stringer of Camarillo, CA; grandchildren, Erinn Stringer of Lake Oswego, OR, Brodie Stringer of Danville, CA, Sarah Stringer of Danville, Alexia Stringer of Danville, Scott A. (Janell) Stringer of Chula Vista and Amanda (Erik) Werner of Templeton, CA. He was preceded in death by parents, John J. and Cora Stringer.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2006, 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Services, Friday, September 8, 3:00 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy. Burial: Tracy Mausoleum.

Dear Dode and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your lose,and please know that I am thinking of you all.We have certainly had some wonderful memories. I can still see him at the Ranch "building fence", and all the Easter's. My,all the Grandchildren,how "Wonderful"Dode.
