Stockton, CA
February 18, 1932 - August 18, 2006
Henry Vallejo, 74, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006 in Stockton with his devoted wife of 31 years by his side. Mr. Vallejo was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 18, 1932 to Miguel and Concepcion Vallejo. Henry was proud of his ten years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. Following his discharge from the Navy, he worked for the Tracy Defense Depot as a medical inspector, retiring after 31 years of service. Henry loved to be outside barbecuing, doing yard work, playing with his grandchildren or maintaining his car. He was also an avid sports fan. But his greatest enjoyment was time spent with family. His parents and stepfather, Ralph Fernandez predeceased him. Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred (Millie); his sons, Robert Vallejo of San Francisco and David (Stephanie) Vallejo of Lodi; step sons, Michael (Diana) Miller of Stockton and Patrick (Ann Hong) Miller of San Jose; grandsons, Christopher Miller and Christian Vallejo and granddaughters, Lauren and Ashley Miller. Mr. Vallejo was the loving brother of Connie White of Wheatland, Michigan; Vera Wilkins of Marina Del Rey, California, Tessie Roland of Inglewood, California and Molly (Pedro) Frias of Inglewood. Several nieces and nephews as well as countless friends also survive him. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial celebrating his life on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 10702 N. Lower Sacramento Rd., Stockton, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Rd., Miami, FL, 33136-1494 or the Horizon Christian Fellowship building fund.
