Hilda M. Kidwell, 98 of Stockton passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010. She was born December 16, 1911 in Murphy's, CA and after high school became a registered nurse receiving her training from St. Joseph's Hospital. She worked as an RN at the Bret Harte Sanitarium, Merced Hospital, St. Joseph's and 23 years for Dr. Ernest Weys. She was an avid knitter and crossword puzzler.
Survivors include her son David L. (Lavilla) Kidwell of Stockton, grandchildren, Craig (Sharon) Harrison, Steve (Sue) Kidwell, David (Michelle) Harrison and Sandy (Randy) Snider, nine great grandchildren: Kyle, Jacob, Brittany & Morgan Harrison, Brian & Sarah Kidwell, Brenna, Allison & Kristopher Snider. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years John Kidwell, daughter Beverly Harrison, parents Cecil & Irene Burrow, and two sisters Helen Matson & Elsie Bundy.
Private family graveside services and arrangements are being handled by Cherokee Memorial Park.

Hilda taught me so much during the time I worked for Dr Weys. I was a nursing student and truly appreciated her knowledge and experience. She was a blessing and a great nurse.

Dave, Lavilla and family,
Although it has been a number of years since we have seen Hilda, we remember her fondly. She was always so sweet. We do talk about John and Hilda and are glad we had them in our lives. Our deepest sympathy to you.
