Jerry L. Wheaton passed away peacefully at his residence in Stockton on June 7, 2008. He was 68 years old. He was born on May 9, 1940 in Mansfield, Ohio. He attended Stagg High School and then went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. He worked as a fire truck mechanic for over 15 years. In Jerry's free time he enjoyed fishing, hiking and just spending time in the outdoors.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Shirley Wheaton of Stockton. His loving daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Ron Anderson of Stockton. Granddaughters Kristy and Tiffany Reich both of Stockton, great grandchildren Aidan Bickle and Rafael Villa Jr.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate Jerry's life on Thursday June 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel Cherokee Memorial Park Hwy 99 at East Harney Lane Lodi, CA. Visitation will be Wed. June 11, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Donations in Jerry's memory may be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton, CA 95204.
