John E. Cyr

John E. Cyr, 94, a longtime Stockton resident, was born in Montana October 6, 1915 and passed away in Stockton, January 7, 2010.
Mr. Cyr is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joann Cyr of Stockton. He was the loving father of Gay Jacobs of Mt. Aukum, CA, Suzanne Peluso of Stockton and step-father of Nancy Field of Stockton and the late Roger Dedekam. He was the dear grandfather of 4 and great grandfather of 10. Loving brother of Krest Cyr of Florida, Roger Cyr of San Diego, CA and Adrienne Benton of Arizona.
He was a U.S. WWII Navy Veteran. John started his 50 year real estate career with Sims and Grupe and was the owner of John Cyr Real Estate in Stockton. He was an author of several real estate books and novels and also taught real estate at Delta and Humphrey's College.
John's family suggests memorial contributions in his memory be made to St. Mary's Interfaith Dining Room, P.O. Box 133, Stockton, CA 95201-0133 or Delta Humane Society, P.O. Box 30908, Stockton, CA 95213. At Mr. Cyr's request, no services will be held. DeYoung Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Joann and family....Don & I send our wishes and love to you all. John was a fine gentleman and deeply respected in the real estate community and all over San Joaquin County. He trained half of the Realors in Stockton and with great skill and a good sense of humor. We all have fond memories of fun times with him and Joann.
