Beloved Deacon Jorge H. Torres, of Zapopan Jalisco, Mexico, born on April 24, 1943 in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico, to the late Cleofas Herrera, passed away at age 75 on July 6, 2018 in Stockton, CA. Jorge was the beloved husband of Lourdes Torres. He is survived by his sons, Jorge A. Torres, Angel A. Torres, Ricardo Simental, and Samuel Solis; daughters, Lourdes T. Torres, B. Torres de Simental, Carmen Solis, and Danae P. Duk-Torres; brother, Raul Torres; sisters, Martha Lopez and Guadalupe Ramirez; and grandchildren, Adam A. Torres, Eryn S. Torres, Andres T. Guzman, Miaa D. Torres, Victor E. Gamez, Nicolas S. Torres-Duk, and Samantha A. Solis. He was a Deacon at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Friends and family members may attend the rosary service, officiated by Fr. Camilo Garcia, on Thursday, July 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 203 Washington St., Stockton, CA, 95202. A memorial service will take place on Friday, July 13 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A celebration of life will follow from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Gym Hall, 203 Washington St., Stockton, CA, 95202.

El fue el mas gran deacono y lider, siempre en frente de nosotros en cada experiencia en Santa Maria, de Via Cruces, Procession de la Virgen Maria, clase de confirmacion, La Festival, misas, bodas, bautismos...
Nunca vamos a olvidar que Deacono Jorge ayudaba las familias veces incontables. Gracias a Dios que recibimos la energia y amable persona que Deacono Jorge traio. Bendiciones a todos en El Nombre del Padre, y El Hijo, y del Espiritu Santo.
