Michael Allen Carter, 26, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006. He was born July 19, 1979 in Lodi, CA. Michael was a member of the Ironworkers Union Local #378. He was employed by Mid State Construction as an Ironworker.
Michael was the beloved husband of Denise Carter of Stockton. Loving father of Keanna Vergano and Serenity Carter. Dear son of Sharon Dooley of Stockton; grandson of Cathy Scism of Stockton; and brother of Justin Dooley of Stockton.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel on Tuesday, June 27, from Noon to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Dear Denise,
You don't know us ,but we knew and loved Mike as a child growing up. He,and our son Finian grew up together in our old central Stockton neighborhood. They were good friends as children till we moved to Washington state in the mid 1990's. Our hearts go out to you in this time of great sorrow. Mike was a good hearted kid,and I'm sure he grew into a wonderful man.His loss is felt by us all today. We just found out from an email by an old friend of Finn's old friend,Randy Burns.Our heartfelt love goes out to you now. We are so sorry for your loss.

Mike started his apprenticeship on a job I was the foreman. I was amazed how how quickly he took to the trade. Mike was truly a great individual,he expressed great love for his family,and was very proud of his daughters. I was shocked and sadden to hear of the accident and his passing. My wife and I both had the opportunity to work with Mike at The Old Spaghetti Factory for a couple of years. The time we shared with him will awalys be cherished in our hearts. I worked with Mike at Old Spaghetti Factory for a couple of months, as did both of my brothers. I was shocked when I heard about his passing. Working with Mike was such a joy and he will be sorely missed. God Bless you all.

I am so sorry for Michaels untimely death. It seems like yesterday I was coaching him and Chris in baseball, taking him to the gym with me at nights I worked there. He was like a son to me.
