Heather, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I have so many memories of her when she was my Dad's (Don Freed) partner. We had a china hutch in our house called the "no no" because it was off limits as children. Every time she came to our house, the first thing she did was take off her gun and place it on top of the "no no", knowing full well that my sister and brother and I would never even consider going near it, yet always respecting the significance. Years later, I had the great pleasure of working on data collection with her on a child abuse prevention project. Many blessings to you and the boys and your extended family.

I've known Nancy since 1973 when we were deputies together. I moved away in 1978 but we finally had a reunion 5 years ago and were planning another one this year. I'm so thankful we got to reconnect....I'm so sorry to hear of your passing and my thoughts and prayers go to your family and friends. I will be at your memorial service
