Thank you Polly for all the great kid memories you gave me. When we lived across the street from you on Barrymore back in the 60's, my sisters and I often played at your house with Pam, Charlie and Randy. You gave us cookies, fed us bologna sandwiches on Wonder Bread, picked us up from Cleveland school, and watched us quite a bit. I remember your taped spit curls, you constantly twirling those curls in your fingers, your rich, powerful voice, that legendary tussle with Evelyn, and the beautiful red '64 Plymouth Belvedere you drove. Great memories from a great lady. Thank you so much!

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Polly was an awesome woman, who taught the young women in recovery a lot about being a strong self sufficient woman. I was new to the County when I worked with Polly & she was always so patient with me, always including me in projects etc... the world was a better place because of Polly...

Polly was a wonderful woman, and I had the pleasure of working with her at the old FOCUS/Family Ties program site on California Street. I just loved her sense of humor and her love for the women we served.

Pam,Charles & Randy, I have the fondest memories of your mom from when we all lived on Barrymore. The block parties, playing over at your house or our house. She was an awesome lady and I am sorry for your loss. She is now in heaven watching over you all. God's Peace to you.

To Polly's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of Polly's co-workers at San Joaquin County's Family Ties Program. Polly was kind and caring and was there when someone needed to talk not only for the clients but the staff as well. She will be missed. Know that you will have comfort and strength in your memories and they will help you. Our throughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time.
