I have a hard time to find peace with Prabs passing. I learned it recently from my best friend. He loved his patients, he treated his friends like a Family, he was teaching many of us how to Live and how to heal. May you rest in Peace our dear friend... there wont be a time, there wont be a trip to Napa-that I wouldnt think of you. Prayers for the Family and your loved ones.

I'm so sorry for your lost. Dr Purewal would call me his prodigal patient, Lol. I have seen him for close to 10 years for anemia. I considered him a friend as well as my doctor. Prayers for him and his family. ❤

I only heard of dear Dr. Purewal's passing today. I feel devastated. He took such good care of my husband and then myself for years. He was a good friend and I loved and admired him so much. I wish he could have stayed with us so much longer. My sincere sympathy to his loved ones.

Your sweet father came to my house to see my Dying husband that was not even his patient .He spoke the truth over my husband and explain to us what was going on.
he didn't have to do that, he even called to pay condolences after my husband passed . He truly devoted his life to health. I am truly sorry for your loss . it's the first time I ever met him and he started talking about his son that's going to be an attorney and his daughter that's going to be a doctor, he was so proud of you two!

I will miss him so very much, he was always there for me and easy to talk to. I will miss his voice and his jokes. He was like a friend to me besides my doctor. He was my doctor for over 9 years. I am sad without him, but I know he is up in Heaven! Sorry for your lost ❤

I will miss you very much, Doctor P. You were very gifted and compassionate with your patients. It was our year #5 we were looking forward to. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, her knew I was scared. He told me to be calm, listen to what he tells me and keep in mind that his losing a patient with breast cancer was his 20 year record of zero and I was not to ruin his record. I will miss his dry sense of humor. RIP Dr. P. You will be missed.

Dr. Purewal you will surely be missed. You came into my life when I needed someone to guide me when I found out my granddaughter had a brain tumor. She was only 7 and I had only worked for you for 3 weeks you were always there to comfort me and to tell me everything would be ok. She loved you as much as you loved her. We were only your employees but always treated us as family. Loved our talks in the car when I would pick you up and take you back to car after it had charged. I was so happy that you had found the love of your life Nicole you always had a smile on your face and could hear it in your voice when you would talk about her. You were taken to soon but will never be forgotten. RIP and prayers for your children and family through this difficult time.

My dear batch mate and friend Prabhjit,
It was a shock to hear of your sudden departure from this tentative space on earth where we all are like visitors. We all go through life with multiple experiences and keep doing things that we believe in.
I have heard a lot about your humanness and generosity and your excellence in work and compassion for your patients. My dear friend you have left behind a legacy that will live beyond you for generations to come. I and we from O batch are so proud of you and feel blessed to have known you. Life has its unexplainable ways of which we have no control. Hearing of your passion for good wines i wish I had had a chance to have a glass of red wine at Napa valley with you.
My sincere condolences to your family and sons and to Nicole. May your soul rest in peace my friend as we all in O batch will remember you with pride for who were professionally and as a person.

Dear friend Prabhjit, I cannot believe I am writing about you in the past tense, it feels so final and irreversible. I still remember you as the slightly shy, somewhat awkward 18 year old fresher at AFMC, who would rather be on the athletic track than on the dance floor. On the one occasion we met in Chicago 18 years ago ,I met a different Prabhjit.... self assured and full of warmth and charm. It's sad that my next conversation with you should be this text message on your obituary, when you can no longer hear how highly i think of you. Rest in peace my friend and you will always be remembered by your friends from O Batch, AFMC.

My Deepest condolences to the Family.. Dr Prab Purewal was an amazing Doctor but more than that he was a beautiful human being. He cared about every person he came in contact with. He took pride in his role as a Doctor and treated every single patient as if they were a member in his family. He was very humble and down to earth. It broke my heart when I learned of his passing. I couldnt believe it, he was so conscientious of he health and he is appearance. It doesn't make sense. As he would always tell his colleagues and patient advice on to better their health. He had an open door policy, very approachable. You can take to him about anything and he listened, he really listened. I loved hearing his stories about when he worked with Mother Theresa and the many other thing he did to help the less fortunate. Dr. wasnt intrested in wealth but human kindness. He would always extend an open invitation to his wineries in Napa Ca. I regret not accepting his invitation for I was always working... Dr. Purewal I am going to miss you and our talks very much. Your stories inspired me as well as many others. You touch many people lives and help me with mine, for that I will be truly grateful. You are an Angel in my eyes, I have Never met an man and kind and caring as you were. My deepest condolences to your children and the rest of your family. To the Parents of Dr. Purewal God gave you and Angel and because of you I was fortunate to become friends with such an amazing Man. Because of Dr. Purewal many people around the world were literally touch by an Angel. To his children Thank you for sharing such a wonderful Man with all of us. God sent Us an Angel.... My Deepest Condolences

To Dr. Purewal's family, with deep sadness, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss! He was my 1st wife's oncologist. He was a kind, gentle man and professional who came to our home to see her. I also was his patient after having a blood clot. He is a tremendous loss to all of you and to the community whom he served, although he will always be remembered!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Purewals passing. He was my Moms Oncologist, as well as a co-worker & friend. I would see him on his rounds at St. Josephs and he would always greet me with a hug and a smile & he was always wearing his trademark bow tie. He was an excellent Physician, compassionate & caring, for his patients and their families. The day after my Mom passed Dr Purewal called us personally to be sure we were doing ok.
Sending prayers of strength, comfort & peace to his family & office staff.
Respected by all in the Medical community, the lack of his presence will be greatly missed by many.

To the Purewal Family & Nicole,
My hearfelt sympathy goes out to all of you. The bright light of such a compassionate physician and friend has been extinguished. He continued to see Dr Lathams patients after we retired and blazed his own trail with his Oncology practice. We shared many glasses of wine together at Papapavlos, engaged in many conversations regarding wine, his children and our health, he took the utmost care of my mother and then found the woman of his dreams, Nicole. The smile on his face told it all. His children were set, he was set and all was well. RIP my friend and say hello to your beautiful mother. You were my friend, my doctor, my co-worker.

Dr. Purewal was a true gentleman who cared about people. I worked with him at DHM and he was always kind and professional. I was also his patient and he went the extra mile to put my mind at ease. I considered him my friend as well as my colleague and physician. Your stories, your signature bow tie, your gentle and kind demeanor will surely be missed. I'm so thankful I was able to work for someone so amazing and caring like Dr. Purewal. He would always say we were his little oncology family and a great team. Rest in paradise with your momma Dr P, we miss you. It's so hard having to clean up all the things in the office and to have to take down your wall of mother Teresa, you loved us like we were your children... you loved your "oncology team" as you would say. You trusted us so much that's why we are still here making sure our patients get their continued care with a new doctor
