My Dad would have loved all this attention. During this very difficult time, we are comforted by the kind words, thoughts and prayers of so many people. One thing that helps me is to remember that Dad died doing what he loves--fishing. Since his brain surgery, he was living life to the fullest, recapturing his youth, making up for lost time. He was 66 going on 16. He squeezed a lot in those last two years. I wish it had been longer but we are so grateful to have had those times. They are times my kids will never forget. Dad will live on in the love for the outdoors we got from him.

It was an honor and a privilege to have known and worked with Dick. I will think of him often, and his famous orange spray painted boots.

Richard always got a big kick out of showing me pictures of his adventures, hunting and fishing trips, and his trophy fish. He loved watching anything about wildlife and fishing on TV. I know, for I was there, and I will miss these times. Richard was a "cool dude" and my memories of him will be fond.
As I have been around you guys for more than twenty years, yes, imagine that, all of you have made me feel like a true friend, even as family. I count it truly a blessing to be involved with such great people as yourselves. Thank you for the friendships, oh, and I will try to keep the house clean ;-)

Thirty years ago Dick Crandall helped train me at Pacific Bell. What a gentleman he was. Always kind to everyone he met, soft spoken, easy going, and most of all a loyal person to everyone on the crew. Thank you for being who you are, Dick. My sympathy to the Crandall family. David Wichman.
