Stockton, CA
Nov. 15, 1934 - April 22, 2006
Robert (Bob) Thomas Botiller passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a small series of heart attacks on April 22, 2006. Bob lived in Stockton for 63 years and was a graduate of Stockton High School. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Elks BPOE #218, the Stockton Moose Lodge and the Butcher's Union. Never one to stay still for too long, Bob began a business painting and wallpapering after retiring as a butcher. After retiring from his second career, Bob kept busy racing sailboats, playing the harmonica and was fiercely competitive cribbage player. He played dominoes in a biweekly game with friends, traveled the globe with his wife and loved to shop. His friends at "the office", Superior Thrift will miss him.
Bob was a devoted husband and father who thought nothing was too good for his family, and he was so proud of his first grandchild. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kay; daughter Kristin Ranuio of Napa; son, Brian Botiller of Eureka; father and mother-in-law, Tip and Helen Banks; son-in-law, Tim Ranuio; granddaughter, Maya Kayli Ranuio and eagerly anticipated the birth of his grandson, Kian Thomas Ranuio, his namesake. He is also survived by daughter, Nancy Botiller. His parents and his brother, Ray predeceased Bob.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bob's life on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Services will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 California St., Stockton, with a gathering to follow at Bob and Kay's home. A viewing will be held the same day from 11:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. Private Committal at Stockton Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Delta Humane Society, 4590 State 99, West Frontage Road, Stockton or the Woman's Center of San Joaquin County, 620 North San Joaquin, Stockton.

Dear Kay,
I last saw Bob when I was visiting with a Hospice Pt in LVW--he was wall papering--I remember him as a nice sweet man. You were very fortunate to have him as a husband. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had a deep regard for Bob, though I hadn't known him for a very long time. He was a kind, quiet man with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye. I will miss him very much.
