I met Bob a couple of times at the DX convention in Visalia and used to hear him from time to time on 40 CW too. I am sorry for his passing. He always seemed a gentleman and a scholar. I hope he enjoys eternal rest in a place without QRM and where the bands are always open. Good luck OM and 73, Tommy, W6IJ, Denair, CA

Even though I never met Bob, I worked him many times as a Ham Radio operator. He was always pleasant and had a good radio signal. He will be missed. Mike, NF0N

Dear Carol,
I was so sad to to hear of Robert's passing. In my mind he will always be the best "boss" I ever had. He was my friend whom I respected and I enjoyed my years with him in Clinical Engineering. When I told my daughter Christi about Robert's passing, she recalled some things I had forgotten. Your kindness when you invited the two of us into your home and the crayons, do you remember that gift??
I remember the black Chevy Silverado truck that Robert had when I first met him, it was always immaccuatley kept.
I could continue to tell you what you already know, he was a true man in the finest and best way. I was blessed to have worked for him and with him.
I want to say he was just a "good guy" whom I am ever so pleased to have known.
There is nothing I can say that will change the facts, I just want you to know that I am sorry for your loss and if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Dear Carol, I was so saddened to hear of Robert's passing. I always called him my "second father"; he was so good to me, as were you. Even though it's been years since we've seen you and Robert, I've never forgotten you. You always said Robert was the last of the true southern gentlemen, and I think you were right! I wish you comfort at this difficult time, Carol. Rest in peace W6FAH.
