Robert Mingram Obituary

Robert William "The Ming" Mingram

October 2, 1936 - October 9, 2018

Robert was born in San Francisco, CA on October 2, 1936 and passed away peacefully at his home in Stockton, CA on October 9, 2018. He loved his family, friends, antiques, fellow Heat and Frost Workers and his Marine Corp.

He was survived by his Son William; Daughter-in-Law Jeanna; Grandchildren Olivia, Matt and Tess; Sister Patti; Brother Joseph and Sister-in-Law Helen.

Robert was also known as Bob. He attended Franklin High School, then Stockton College. In both, he excelled at football, basketball and baseball. Soon afterwards, Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corp and earned an honorable discharge on May 7, 1963. From there, he joined the International Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Union Local 16 and had a long successful career as an Industrial Insulator. Through his many travels, Bob compiled a great book of stories in his head and if you were one of the lucky people that had a chance to spend time with him, you were definitely entertained.

We will always love and miss our Papa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main St., Stockton, CA 95205 on Monday, November 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM. A committal will follow at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA 95204.

I am sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a loved one in death. Our heavenly Father is very aware and understands the pain you feel. He will give you comfort. (Psalms 86:6,7) Your family has my deepest sympathy.

I'm very sorry to hear of Bob's passing, and my condolences to the family. Bob and I go all the way back to Franklin Jr. High where we played on the football team together. We were also members of the brotherhood, The United States Marine Corps. Rest in peace Bob and Semper Fi.
