Sergio M. Villanueva, age 36, of Stockton, CA, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at residence in Stockton, CA. He was born on April 6, 1972 in French Camp, CA and lived in Stockton for 5 years after moving from Manteca, CA. He was employed as a fork lift driver for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife Victoria E. (Herrera) Villanueva, married 9 years. Children, Bella, Sergio, Jr., and Alexander Villanueva of Stockton, CA and stepson Richard Andrade of Stockton, CA. Also survived by Sergio Daniel, Alexus, Miranda, Natalie and Nina Villanueva.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from Noon to 7:00 p.m. at Park View Memorial Chapel, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, CA 95336. Rosary: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 7:00p.m. at Park View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass: Thursday, June 12, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Gaudalupe, 16200 Cambridge Drive, Lathrop, CA.
Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca, CA.

I met Sergio hanging out with Vickie at my first Halloween party at Brian's house. I came in dressed as a dead Anna Nicole. Each time I would pass Sergio he would quote the commercial and say, "Want some money?" in his silly Anna Nicole voice. That was our bonding moment. I remember Sergio, Vickie, and I laughing until we had tears in our eyes. From then on I was Anna and he was the cutest most charming, loving, caring husband I had ever met. Something about Sergio's sense of humor and spirit and the way Vickie loved and cared about him and the way he loved and cared about her stuck with me. I went to Sergio's funeral having only enjoyed his company a couple of times and sobbed. I could not believe that while many a grumpy husband lurked around to make some wife's life miserable, such a great man was taken away from his wife and children. I sobbed because I was so grateful to have met him and enjoyed his company. Every now and again someone enters your life and leaves a mark on your heart quite unexpectedly. Sergio, you are priceless - one in a hundred million trillion billion (and that's a lot of money). Thank you. Love always, Anna

We can not believe that it has been a whole year without Sergio. I will always remember how protective Sergio was of everyone. If you ever needed anything he was always there to help. There are many things that will be missed but I will mostly miss him doing his dance. Whenever and where ever he would break into a dance. I know that he is out there watching his little ones grow up and will protect them when it is needed. So keep up all of the good things that you have done and have yet to do in our hearts and memories. We love you!!!

I found this online and I reminded me so much of Sergio. This is exactly what he would tell all of us. Its hard to think and except that a year has passed. So much has happen. Sergio was such a beautiful person in so many ways. I have come to understand what he meant by Time will heel all. You will always be my heart Marcus & the shining light of our kids.

Dear Sergio,
i can't believe a year has gone by without you. Sometimes i'm tempted to call and see how you are or if you want momma to cook something for you. Then i remember you had to leave us too soon and see what the next step of the journey held for you. Are you at peace, son. Are you and my Justin protecting us? I think you are.
I wanted to tell you again, how beautiful you are, what a warm sweet soul you are. But a devil too, who loved a good time and had a wonderful sense of humor. My favorite moment was sitting with you and Vic at Ya'll come back after you'd knocked back a few. What a great time we had. You always made time for me at Christmas too and i'll never forget that you and family included me on that special holiday.
Your babies are fine and beautiful. The boys, Alex and Junior look like your clones! Belle is beautiful and so smart, you must be so proud. Richie was just graduated High School and I'm sure wanted you there to see, but you did, didn't you son, you wouldn't have missed that. You can be so proud of all your babies. Vickie is so strong but you know that, and she'll make sure life is good for the kids.
What a wonderful Dad you were to them, every good thing for your kids, how lucky they were to have you, how lucky were were to have you even if it was too short. Desi and Nica miss you and especially at Bar-be-que time, they talk about Serg....
I promise you, that i will always be here for Vic and the kids and look forward to sharing stories about you with them. All the love i have for you i promise to share with the kids, because they are you.

On behalf of myself and my children i would like to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has been with us during these tough times. Sergio was definitely 1 of a kind and he will never be forgotten. My husband fought a tough fight & he beat the odds of this horrible cancer by out living the projected life span by 2 years. Those of you whom truly knew my husband will not be surprised by this :)) Sergio was definitely a true warrior and to let his babies see him give up was just not going to happen. Sergio's babies were his life and the reason he would not give up this battle. My children stand proud of their father for this. They have been blessed to have their father in their lives from the day they were born til the day he passed in our home. Although they will no longer have their father physically with them the memories their father has left them will always be in their hearts and mind. For this reason my children and I can continue on with our lives and finish out Sergio's dreams and plans for his babies. Sergio has left a hole in all of our hearts that will never be filled but every time I look at his twin boys Sergio Jr, Lil Alex, princess Bella and his other wonderful kids it makes it a little easier to live with that void he has left in my heart. I have been truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family and again from the bottom of my heart Thank you all for everything you all have done for the kids and I.

I am so glad Marcos met you and had you in his life his last years. We hadn't talked in forever and I had no idea how sick he was. I was in total shock to hear just how sick he was in February and how far along his disease had progressed. I'm glad we met again before he passed. Our prayers are with you, the kids, and each other, as the loss of one of us (the first of Alejandra's bazillion grandchildren) has hit us pretty hard even though we haven't always been close. Please remember you're not alone in your suffering and we're all here if you need additional support. True to nature, I don't want to end on a sad note, so, if I misspelled your name, feel free to set me straight (or change it so I'm not wrong)...
