Tony Montanez
May 13, 1962 - Sept. 22, 2008
Tony Montanez, 46, passed away at home on September 22, 2008. He formerly owned ALLTECH Automotive. At the time of his death he managed Country Club Service. Tony was a well respected automotive mechanic for over 30 years and enjoyed his work. He was a avid hunter and gun collector. Tony loved to spend time with his many good friends and giving good advice to anyone who needed it. He also loved being a surrogate father to many and especially to his niece Kendahl.
Tony was a son to Angela Montanez and his late father, Manuel Montanez; brother to Jeanne Aguilar, David Montanez and late Terrance Montanez, Mel Montanez, Annette Montanez, Tania Montanez and Anna Bognuda; uncle to Daniel, Christopher, Andrew, Kendahl, Matthew, Emily, and Brian; and great uncle to many others. Tony had more "Buddies" than we could mention but it must be said that his friends meant a great deal to him.
Those who knew Tony knew that it was "All about the Kids", though he had no children of his own, Tony was truly interested in kids and their education.

For the past 7 years I've known Tony. From 16 til now. He was one of the first people i told the day i got my licence. He was always there when i needed cheering up. Such a positive person! When he would ask about my life i knew he really did care. I will miss him always! The neighborhood will not be the same without his cheerful hello.

To the Montanez Familiy whom we have known for many, many years. We are sincerely sorry for your loss of a caring, thoughtful, and ambitious son and brother. Tony was always a friend to us. He always asked how our family was and what has been going on lately. He always had a smile, hug and a handshake to give. I could always count on him for advice or help anytime about our vehicles. What we will always remember about Tony the most is his kind compassionate heart, and great smile, just like his brother Terry, whom I miss to this day. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. To The Montanez Family:
I knew Tony through his sister Tania with whom I used to work with and am still good friends with. Tony was always so nice and helpful when it came to my car. In fact I liked him so much that I refered my parents to him and they had gone to him for everything ever since. He was such a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Take care and God Bless.

I found out about Tony when I called to ask about bringing my son's car in for repairs. My boss, Fred and I at A-1 Auto Glass are still in shock. He was such a nice person, willing to help all. A very trustworthy mechanic. He would refer his customers to us for any auto glass needs, as we would return the favor. He will be greatly missed.

T-Mont!
You screwed up our entire weekend of boating, which is poetic justice , since you hated boating:)
I would not have been suprised if the sprinklers came on as we reached the grave, just so You could have the last laugh.
You will be missed dear friend, I know you are in a better place.
I'ts still tough to drive past Harding, and not want to give you a call, and tell you "I'm coming in hot"!
Hasta! Chris

If there was just something I could write that would make anyone feel better for just a split second - but there isn't. We - the cousins are everywhere and even though I may not have had the privilege of knowing Tony as well as his loving friends, I care. Another piece of the family is lost and I am very sorry.

Tony was certainly one of a kind...although I had not seen him in some time, just the mention of his name brings back some funny memories! He was quick-witted and honest, a quality sorely missing in today's world, and had a great sense of humor. I ran across a quote today that epitomizes the man many of us must remember -
"We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we find in our travels is an honest friend" - Robert Louis Stevenson.
He was that and more to so many....

Tony, you are really going to be missed. You indeed, had many "buddies", and I was proud to be one of them. Though my friendship started with you as a customer of mine at Alltech, I'm proud to say it developed into much more over the years. Again, you will be sorely missed.

Aunt Angie and family,
I'm sorry to hear about Tony, he was a good one, and I'm sorry i haven't been by to see everyone. It's been tough dealing with another loss in the family. Like Tony always said "God always takes the best one's first", he was right. I can relate to what everyone is feeling, the best thing to do is to remember all the good things and times, that's what Tony would want, Tony touched a lot of people's lives. He really taught me a lot. I'll never forget all the hunting and racing trips he took me on. Remember the "Montana Video", that is and will always be my favorite memory.
Tony we'll never forget you!
I Love you all

I've known Tony since Kindergarten thru high school. I think back and remember all the fun we had (and shenanigans) along with all his brothers while growing up. Those were some of the best times creating lasting memories. Regrettably, I have not seen Tony in many years, but, I will remember him as a brother early on and later as a friend. My deepest condolences to the Montanez family.

Tony Montanez was possibly the most influential person I have ever met. He has taught me more things about life and what is important, than anybody or life experience could ever do. He used to tell me how he would give "the answers to the test" to all the young kids he cared about..... well, I believe he gave every one of us " "the answers". He will forever be thought of as my greatest teacher and an unbelievable force in my life. I love you forever T mont..... you were amazing

Tony was my neighbor and one heck of guy! He always treated others with respect which showed not only in his personal dealings with people but also in the excellent customer service that he gave to all who took their cars to him. I will always miss shouting out hello to Tony from across the street and our talks about the neighborhood and whatever else came to mind. Talking with Tony was always cool...

Tony's Family and friends,
Tony (basketball head) was always a jokster with me and my friends in school. I hadn't seen Tony but a few times since school and he never changed from his crazy laugh and his ways. He did annoy me in school with the name calling, but I know if he didn't kid with you he didn't like you. You have your memories and I'm sure you all have your special ones that you will keep in your heart. Tony, you are one of a kind.
God will watch over your loved ones.

Tony and I grew up in the same neighborhood. My siblings, as well as Tony's all went to school together. The last 3 years I saw Tony at the station often as I wouldent let anyone else work on my car. Tony always with a big hug and smile, cracking jokes and his favorite saying "Reallly".. He will be terribly missed but NEVER forgotten. May all the family be blessed with much love and support from all and each of their hearts filled with special memories of him.

Tony will be missed by many family and friends, I have worked with Tony over the past 30 or so years in the automotive repair business. Tony was very involved in helping me start a repair business in Lodi Ca. He was instrumental in helping me make this business very successful before moving on his own at ALLTECH Automotive. Every time I would talk with Tony he was giving or helping someone in one way or another. Thank you Tony for helping me and believing in me when I needed it the most I will truly miss you .
God Bless you
