Our beautiful Mother passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side. Wanda L. Van
Sant, 76 of Stockton was born July 20, 1933 in Kinta, Oklahoma. She graduated from Linden High School. She was a Medical Transcriptionist for 25 years at San Joaquin General Hospital before retiring in 1997. She was actively involved with the Elk Grove Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Van Sant, her daughter, Brenda Woodruff and her son, Wesley Scott. She is survived by her children, Timothy Flood (Brenda), Deborah Moore (Larry), Phil Scott, Bill Scott (Giovonna), Melissa Epperson (Jim), Melinda Gobron (Eric), 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Earl Jennings (Jean), Harold Jennings and Dolores
Fisher as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010, 1:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin County or the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the caring people of Hospice of San Joaquin.
