Andrew Dewitt

Andrew DeWitt of Pine Bush, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 as a result of an accident in Crawford, N.Y. He was 50 years old. The son of Samuel DeWitt and Elizabeth Ackerley, he was born February 22, 1955 in Ft. Riley, Kan. He was a forklift mechanic with Empire Forklift in Bloomingburgh, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Nolan DeWitt, at home; one son, Austin DeWitt - U.S.S. Kittyhawk, Japan; two daughters, Claire DeWitt and her fiancé, Adam, of Pine Bush, and Lindsay DeWitt of Pine Bush; two brothers, Samuel DeWitt II and wife, Kimberly, of Wallkill, and Brian DeWitt of Delaware; one sister, Sandra Gatlin and her husband, Rockie, of Richardson, Texas; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Nolan of Newburgh; brother-in-law, Francis Nolan and wife, Carol, of the Town of Newburgh; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends - and also the family dog, Ryely. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at the Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y. There will be no funeral service. Cremation will follow at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements are under the direction of Kevin Quigley of Quigley Bros.
