Arthur Hornek Obituary

Middletown, NY

Arthur L. Hornek, of Middletown died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, in Middletown. He was 89.

Born in New York, NY on October 29, 1919, he was the son of the late Louis and Lillian Dreichler Hornek. He was the widower of Ann Phelan Hornek. Arthur served in the U.S. Army as a Tech Sergeant during WW II. He retired as a supervisior at Grand Central U.S. Post Office then was a programmer for Continential Insurance, New York, NY.

He is survived by two sons, Roger Hornek and his wife, Gina of Middletown and Ronald Hornek of Maybrook; his sisters, Anna Kidney and Lillian Hornek of Middletown. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Hornek and brother Harold Hornek.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Morse Funeral Home Inc.. 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, NY.

Funeral services at the funeral home will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 23, with internment in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.

Arrangements are under the guidance of Morse Funeral Home Inc., Middletown, NY, 845-343-6918.
