BRIAN STROMMER Obituary
Washingtonville, NY
Brian T. Strommer, II, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010 in Blooming Grove. He was 22.
Son of Brian T. Strommer and Sharon A. Hinchey Strommer, he was born in Mineola, NY on November 24, 1987.
Brian was an auto body repairman for Woodcock Auto Body in Washingtonville.
Survivors include his parents, Brian T. & Sharon A. Strommer of Washingtonville; brother, Owen Strommer of Washingtonville; sisters, Brandy Leigh Strommer of Cornwall and Keira Strommer of Washingtonville; paternal grandparents, Ann & Gerard Strommer of Blooming Grove; maternal grandparents, Eileen and William Hinchey of Washingtonville; uncles, Gerard Strommer, II and wife, Jody of Washingtonville and Kevin Strommer of Campbell Hall; cousins, Caitlin & Daniel P. Strommer of Washingtonville, Davan Strommer of Campbell Hall; and many additional aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by an uncle, Daniel O. Strommer.
A family statement reads: "Brian's quick and easy wit endeared him to all. His passion for drumming led to his playing in the band MACCONNELL and his love of cars made his work life a vocation."
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, at St. Mary's Church, 42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville with Rev. Jeffrey Maurer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 2 Fr. Tierney Circle, Washingtonville.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Strommer, Brandy, Owen and Keira,
It is undoubtedly obvious how amazing of a person Brian was. His natural ability to make people laugh would lighten up the toughest of moods. I don't think Brian realized the positive impact he had on so many lives. He was a charming gentleman who had a heart of gold. I wish I got to tell him how much I still cared and how much he meant to me. I am so thankful Brian and all of you were such a big part of my life. I am blessed to have shared an admiration for such a wonderful man. Brian loved each and every one of you very much so. Words could not describe the heart's despair at such a tragedy. You are always in my thoughts and always in my prayers. I love you all.

Although I never met Brian, I was very close with his Uncle Danny growing up. Knowing how wonderful of a person Danny was I can only imagine Brian followed in those footsteps. Brian was always able to make me laugh. He was always able to keep me entertained no matter the time of day or the place. I met Brian at Outback but knew who he was through my siblings and their friends, also mine. Brian was just an amazing person, one of a kind. A Strommer I would say, also referring to his sister Brandy. They are just two hilariously amazing people that you wont meet another like. I just cant get this out of my mind, I can't fathom the idea of Brian not here anymore. It makes me wish more than anything that I could change the ways of my past. I wish I would have been more of a friend to Brian. One of the main things that we had in common was our passion for cars, and Subarus most of all. He used to ask me to hang out, go to the shop, or chill and work on the car some time. I never really took him up on his offers, but planned to. Look now, here I am regretting it. This has really shown me the value of a persons life, truly. I would do absolutely anything to get him back. I wish I could. I miss you Brian. I am not a religious person, but my prayers are out for you and your family.
