Daniel Weldon Obituary

Allentown, Pa. - Daniel Paul Weldon of Allentown, PA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday October 2 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pa. He was 39.

The son of Richard and Emily Lobenhofer Weldon, he was born on November 1, 1967 in Bethpage, L.I. Dan was a former resident of Orange County and moved to the State of Pennsylvania 7 years ago. Dan spent much of his early years learning about and working with machinery. He was very gifted mechanically.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn and her mother Janine of Greentown, Pa.; friend, Tabitha Hayden; his parents, Emily and Richard Weldon of Slate Hill; three sisters, Jeanmarie Waldron and her husband Gerard of Cape Coral, Florida, Kathleen Russolello and her husband Dominic of Wantage, L.I., and Diane Fico and her husband James of Washingtonville; and nine nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, County Route 22, South Centerville, NY. Fr. Bob Porpora, will officiate.

Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.

Donations to benefit Daniel's daughter, Kaitlyn, may be made to the Kaitlyn Weldon Fund, 22 Lone Indian Lane, Middletown, NY 10940.
