It is with deep regret that the Bates family of Lake Ariel has lost a very true friend. We originally met at Rolling Wheels Raceway and our friendship blossomed like we knew each other for years. It will be a trying time to go on each day as we were in constant contact. I really miss his daily phone calls keeping me posted on his day and how it was going. Dave was a member of our family and I feel blessed for having known him. I can only hope he is in a better place and no more pain. Sincerely,

Even though I never got to meet him, David sounded like the type of man I would want to know. With all of the stories I hear and the fond memories everyone has, I know he will never be forgotten!

Gary and family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I unfortunately never had the opportunity to have met your father but I have this mental picture in my head, and everything I've heard about him just creates such a vision in my mind of what he was to you. If there's one good thing to come out of such an unfortunate passing, it's that you and your family have one more angel looking out for all of you. I'm here for you!

Gary, Your father will always be part of our little family, here at Giant Market, here in Vestal. His incredible sense of humor kept us rolling in laughter. I will miss our conversations, when the racing season kicked in

We are both shocked and saddened by the news of your father's death. Your father was a great man and was so proud of his children. He always spoke of his son and daughter with so much love and admiration. He was especially fond of his grandchildren. He'll always be with in strength. When you laugh with your children, he'll be laughing with you. He had so much love for his family that you'll feel it for years to come.

Gary & Rachel (and families)-
I am so sorry for your loss. Though I never met your dad, I heard many stories and tales about him. From what everyone wrote, he must have been a great man. Both of you take care of your families, and know that he is now looking out for you at all times. We love you.

I'm very sorry to hear about Dave, i didn't know him the best since i only saw him a few times a month to clean out his rental car. I picked him up and gave him the best service i could. One could'nt ask for a better sense of humour.

Thank you so much for remembering my father, i was in complete and utter shock when my mother called me at 11:30 friday night......
Anyone that knew my father knew that he could talk to you for 5 minutes and you would remember him for the rest of your life....
he was the greatest man that ever lived..........
i use to call him every day atleast 25 to 30 times......
he meant everything to me, he was my best friend......he was my back bone, and honestly he was my everything.....
he was living with so much pain, he's better off now than he ever was......
his eyes were going, he couldn't drive at night....
he could barely walk from his neuropathy(sp?).......
he always use to say to me "Big man i'm suffering" and every time i worried about him he would say "Don't worry about me worry about that kid of yours!!!".......
so many vacations, fishing trips, and walking through the woods helping him build his tree stands......
My grandfather Roger Blaise passed away at the age of 28, my Uncle Gary Blaise passed at the age of 35, i know my father is in good hands right now
thank you all so very much for your love and support

You were always like a father to me in so many ways. I am so happy you were able to see Bradley and we will always have the pictures of the 2 of you. Thank you so much for always helping me and Gary as much as you did, and never saying no. I love you dad.

Rachel & Gary,
What a shock to hear this. I have known Dave for many years as he was a wonderful friend to my brother Doug & sister-in-law June James. I saw him last month and so happy I did. He was a wonderful man and always so upbeat and happy. He had the greatest smile and will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to both of you and the rest of your family.
