Mr. & Mrs. Curtis, Scott & Stacey:

I am sorry for your loss. I haven't lived nearby for some time now and just found out. I wanted to let you know that you are all in my families thoughts and prayers. I remember spending lots of time at your house with Stacey. Whenever Dave was around he would pick on us, but in a fun way. If we were watching a scary movie downstairs, Dave would come down the steps or in from the kitchen and scare us. He was always laughing or had a smile on his face. Working with him at the "Y" was a lot of fun too. He was and always will be an inspiration to all who knew him. I remember times I would walk to the house to hang out with Stacey and Dave would be on the front porch drawing with his toes. He was amazing! He could do anything he put his mind to and he did. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. I'm proud to say that I'm one of the fortunate ones.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Jodi, Merilee & Jon George

Im sorry for your loss. I met David at NYPH Milstein building while i was a patient there for CHF. Im sorry I did not get to know him better while i was there. What I can remeber though as he was walking in the hall or as i'd pass by him he'd always have a smile on his face. That made me belive to never give up. Later I too needed a Heart transplant. His smile gave me the stregth to know its ok if it gets bad but don't give up.

My prayers are with the family. I worked with him in Circuit City and he was a very kind, very sweet and very funny guy who I never saw upset in any situation. He was truly an inspiration to anybody who was fortunate enough to meet him. He will always be in our hearts and is someone I think we should all look up to because he chose to look at the brighter side of life instead of the darker side. God Bless.

Dear Michael,Cheryl and Family ;

It is with deep sadness to hear of the loss of your son, David.I can truly understand your joy and the pain of having a child with a disability as I have a son with a severe brain injury for the past 44 years, but we were chosen parents who could turn difficulties into challenges that we could face and endure with Love, Patience and Understanding. You have been Blessed to have David in your lives, just as I have been, and no one can take that from you.

Michael ,I remember you from Beacon St.when we were kids ,and who knew ours lives would run parallel to each other with a special child. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May you always find comfort in knowing how special David was to so many others who came into his life and yours.

My heartfelt sympathy to you and the Family

David and I dated through most of our Senior year of high school. He was the first person that I reconnected with after leaving New York a few years ago. He had such a strong spirit. You couldn't help but look past the physical differences and see him for who he truly was. May God be with the Curtis family during this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
