Frank Fano Obituary
Frank Fano of Middletown, NY, an Estimator and Office Manager for Blend Air Mechanical of Nanuet, NY for the past eight years and a three-year resident of the area, died August 10, 2009 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown. He was 54 years of age.
The son of the late Frank L. Fano, Jr. and Caroline Locatelli, he was born on June 8, 1955 in Nyack, NY.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Nicole Marie; his brother, Salvatore Fano of Nanuet, NY; his sister, Deborah of Middletown; and sister-in-law, Eve of Middletown. Frank was predeceased by his two brothers, Lawrence and Joseph.
Frank served his country as a United States Marine with the rank of Lance Corporal; he was also an armed guard who was employed by Brinks, and even assisted in the security detail during the Brink's Trial in Goshen, with the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Later in life, he was the co-owner of a Drag Racing Motorcycle, which appeared in many races. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gun collector. But much more important, he was a wonderful brother and brother-in-law.
Frank was known to always be a friend, always helping people that might need help with projects around the house, such as plumbing, flooring and tiling. His gift of construction talents were given to the friends of his life.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 15, at St. Margaret's R.C. Church, 33 North Magnolia St., Pearl River, NY 10965; 845-735-4746.
Entombment will follow at St. Anthony's Mausoleum located at 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954, with full military honors.
Memorial contributions to the Orange County Veterans Service Agency, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924 would be appreciated by the family.
