Frank Mottle Obituary

Formerly of Orange County, NY

Frank Mottle, 83, of Seven Lakes, NC, formerly of Orange County, NY, passed away October 11, 2008 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Mr. Mottle was born in Long Island City, NY July 23, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he became an Electrical Contractor opening his business in Ulster County, NY. In 1965, he became an Electrical Inspector with the NY State Board of Fire Underwriters where he worked for over 30 years. He retired with his loving wife, Aldona, to Seven Lakes, NC in 1992.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Edna Hein & Mildred Eklund; a brother, Joe Mottle, and a grandson, Trevor Simpson. Survivors include his wife, Aldona of Seven Lakes, NC; son, Alan Mottle and wife, Kathy and their daughters, Kristen and Kaitlin of Matamoras, PA; a daughter, Dona Stowell and husband, David of West Orange, NJ; a daughter, Edna Simpson and husband, Bob and their son, Taylor of Livingston Manor, NY; a brother, Tony Mottle of Stone Ridge, NY; sisters, Mary Malecki of Queens Village, NY, Veronica Latuda of Long Island City, NY and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 16, at 10 a.m. at Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Lakes, NC with Father James Labosky officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sandhills Veterans Cemetery, Fayetteville, NC at 12 noon on Friday, October 17, with Father Steven V. Carlson officiating.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353, Alzheimer's Disease, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215, or the Seven Lakes EMS, 969 Seven Lakes North, Seven Lakes, NC 27376.
