Harry Romer Obituary
Harry Romer, 77, of Florida, NY, a retired self employed owner of Harry Romer & Son Trucking, entered into rest on Saturday, August 16, 2008 after a long battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
The son of the late Albert and Isarella Crane Romer, he was born on September 30, 1930 in Middletown, NY.
Survivors include two sons, Harry N. Romer & wife, Diana of Florida, NY and Brian E. Romer & wife, Theresa of Florida, NY; granddaughter, Katie Romer; grandson, Brian E. Romer Jr.; step grandchildren, Marshall, Michael, Matthew & Shari; great grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Napolitano and her husband, Joe of Thompson Ridge, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five sisters, Eva Shipman, Masie March, Bessie Heater, Mary Travis and Helen Butler and three brothers, Albert, Joe and George Romer.
Friends may call today, August 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20 at the funeral home.
Interment will be Warwick Cemetery, Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Fire & Rescue Squad, PO Box 600, Florida, NY 10921.

my prayers are with you, as you climb these final steps, and meet up with our heavenly father. you might not have remembered me , harry romer, but i remember you, growing up in florida new york, and going to seward high school. i was in the care of the westfall family, as they took in many children, in the 40's. there were john mars,whom i still keep in touch with, and the mitchell boys, jean nutley, joan miller, theresa heater and still keep in touch with dolores sicina{rysinger] and her sister gen and so many more. some who have also passed. they were great days back then. the good times. i have said a prayer for , as i do for all my past known friends. an old class mate from seward high. georgianna vanoyan
