Helen Tobin Obituary

Burlingham - Helen Frances Tobin, 86, a longtime resident of Burlingham, a retired Registered Nurse having worked both the Middletown Psychiatric Center as well as Middletown Park Manor, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Middletown Park Manor.

The daughter of the late George and Nellie Kingston Dunn, she was born December 11, 1920 in Buffalo, N.Y. She was the widow of John Tobin, who predeceased her in 1963.

Helen was an honorary member of Bloomingburg Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Helen's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Middletown Park Manor for all the loving care they gave her.

Survivors include her children: Julia Altiro of Ohio, John Tobin and his wife, Ann of Burlingham, N.Y., and William Tobin of the state of Florida, as well as her grandchildren: Paul Burckard, Michelle Rahwan, Rick Altiro, Kim Forseth and John and Bill Tobin; eight great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Joan Dunn, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers: Vincent, George, William and Raymond Dunn.

Visitation hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 W. Main St., Middletown, NY 10940.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Middletown, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 419 E. Main St., Suite 307B, Middletown, NY 10940.

Arrangements are by Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc.; 845-343-6023.
