Hilda Burnett Obituary

Hilda Burnett, a 52-year resident of Newburgh and a private duty home health aide, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 60.

The daughter of the late Winzle Parker and Clearo Brunson, she was born March 5, 1945 in Clinton, N.C.

Survivors include husband, Ralph Burnett of Newburgh; three sons, Herman Patrick of Clinton, N.C., James and Jerome Parker both of Newburgh; four brothers, Velmor Parker and Floyd Parker and wife Marie all of Newburgh, Carl Parker of Houston, Texas, Toney Parker and wife Cynthia of Brandy Wine, Md.; three sisters, Mary Patrick, Cathleen Smith and husband Wendell and Glenda Parker all of Newburgh; four aunts, Hester Webb of Newburgh, Evelyn Boykin of Clinton, N.C., Marietta Howard of Jacksonville, N.C. and Maggie Chasen of Beulaville, N.C.; one uncle, Richard Boone of W. Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 26 from 1-2 p.m. at Baptist Temple Church, 7-11 Williams Street, Newburgh. Services begin at 2 p.m. The Rev. Byron Williams will officiate.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope.

To Aunt Hilda Ruth you will be sadly missed by all of us.To my family hold your head up high for god knows whats best Aunt Hilda Ruth is at peace now.I in your shoes about 5 months ago when I lost my mom. I know the road is not easy but she love each and everyone of us I was just thinking about Aunt Hilda Ruth about 3 weeks ago think about that good bread pudding she use to make me.
