Hilda Long Obituary

Montgomery, NY

Hilda B. Long, a homemaker and resident of Montgomery, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 63.

The daughter of Alberto and Brunilda Ortiz Villafane, she was born November 29, 1944 in New York City, NY. She was the widow of Richard G. Long.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, NY.

Survivors include her son, Richard A. Long and his wife, Eileen of Montgomery; daughter, Robin A. Long-Giagiakos of Montgomery; two sisters, Iris Fontanez of Daytona Beach, FL and Dr. Anna Villafane of Staten Island, NY; five grandchildren: Mercedes, Jordan, Briana, Valerie and Nathan; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Alberto Villafane.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, at First Presbyterian Church, Montgomery, NY, with the Rev. Paul Milz officiating. Burial will be in Brick Church Cemetery, Montgomery, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
